HomeProjects.money exists to give UK homeowners and landlords a clear, realistic idea of what home renovation projects cost before they commit to anything. We believe that better information leads to better decisions — and that starts with knowing whether a project is even affordable right now.

Why We Built This

Home renovation costs are one of the most searched-for topics in the UK. Yet homeowners frequently encounter estimates that are either too generic to be useful or too vague to budget from. We've built our calculators to be specific — by size, specification and region — because that's the only way to get a number that actually helps you plan.

Beyond the calculators, we publish free guide articles on each topic — written in plain English, with real UK market rates and honest advice about what to watch out for.

Who Runs This

HomeProjects.money is operated by OwnAI, a UK-based technology company building tools for homeowners and small property investors. We are not a contractor, estate agent, or financial adviser. We do not sell leads to tradespeople or take referral fees from contractors.

How We Fund Ourselves

We display non-intrusive advertising via Google AdSense. This allows us to keep the calculators and guides free for everyone. Advertisers have no influence over our cost data or editorial content.

Our Approach to Cost Data

• All cost estimates are based on publicly available UK industry data including tradesperson day rates, material costs, and construction industry benchmarks
• We update our cost data at least quarterly to reflect market changes
• We clearly show cost ranges rather than single figures — because every project is different
• All estimates include a built-in contingency to reflect the reality that most renovation projects encounter unexpected costs
• We never fabricate specific numbers — if we're unsure about a figure, we say so
